Pure copper OEM flexible welding cable
Welding cable
Welding cables are a popular portable cord that can be used in various welding applications and many power applications up to 600V that require flexibility.
Welding cable sizes range from 6 awg to 500 MCM. It is composed of bare annealed copper according to ASTM B-3. The sheath on most welding cables is thermoset, usually EPDM or neoprene. The most widely used colors for standard welding cables are black and red. The standard temperature rating is 90C.
Many times, welding cables are used for applications other than welding, but this depends on your specific requirements. It is mainly designed for connection from electrode clamps and fixtures to arc welding machines, welding boxes, bus bars or transformers. We always recommend that you check the ampacity meter of the welding cable before using it for welding applications or 600V tandem applications.
There are many manufacturers of welding cables, but the two largest ones are general-purpose cables and American insulated wires. The two manufacturers have also made a more durable version of the standard welding cable to achieve a higher degree of difficulty in use. These usually include brighter colored jackets (usually orange), with more strands to increase flexibility, higher temperature ratings and higher industry acceptance. Please note that these higher grade welding cables are rarely suitable for fixed lengths over 500'. Generally, these more durable welding cable versions can be used in applications such as lifting equipment or cranes, saving money than more expensive sling and reel cables.

Application of rubber welding cable
Welding cables have flame retardancy, oil resistance, elasticity, compression resistance and abrasion resistance,
Durable, and can survive rough handling.
Designed to be used as an arc welding lead on the secondary side of the power source, it is typical for welders and welding generators. Not applicable to primary voltage.
Structure of rubber welding cable
The welding cable is made of annealed rope twisted bare copper conductor in accordance with ICEAS-75-381.
Paper tape separates the conductor insulation. Extrude the medium EPR sheath onto the cable.
Can provide pvc shell. After 600 volt spark test.
