220KV transmission waterproof XLPE power cable
XLPE cable refers to a cross-linked polyethylene insulated aluminum core armored cable. In the XLPE cable, the aluminum stranded wire is first shielded in the form of semi-conductive extrusion. The aluminum stranded wire can provide a smooth conductor surface and prevent a cavity from forming on the conductor surface when the cable is bent. The shield conductor is insulated with extruded XLPE compound. The insulating layer is further shielded with a non-metal semiconductor material layer, and a non-magnetic metal shielding layer in the form of copper or aluminum tape is applied thereon. If it is a multi-core cable, put the core wire together with a suitable filler in the gap and wrap it with PVC tape or extruded PVC. For mechanical protection, non-magnetic aluminum wire/tape/tape armor for single-core cables and steel wire armor for multi-core cables are provided on the inner sheath. Extrude a layer of PVC/PE as the outer jacket, usually with the back color to prevent moisture from entering.

XLPE power cable insulation is made of XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) rated at 90 o C.
Conductor: flat round, compacted stranded aluminum wire or high-purity copper in accordance with IEC 60228 level 2.
Outer sheath: PVC or LSOH-low smoke and halogen free
Rated voltage: medium and low voltage
Executive standard: manufactured according to GB/T12706-2002 standard (same as IEC60502).
Armor: galvanized steel wire or steel tape.
XLPE cables are suitable for 132 kV general high voltage and ultra high voltage applications. The cable can be used for long cable paths in high-voltage transmission, where dielectric loss plays a major role. Compared with other high-voltage cables, this cable is light in weight, so it can be easily stretched. Since there is never any migration of oil from the insulator, it can be installed for inclined or vertical operation without hesitation. XLPE insulation material has extremely high moisture resistance, so no special precautions are required when connecting and terminating. The connection of XLPE cables takes less time than any other traditional cables of similar grade. These cables can be safely used in any vibration layout, such as bridges. These cables have better resistance to underground water, chemicals, oil and corrosive fluoride salts. These have no fire hazard. These cables are less prone to failure due to aging and have a longer service life.
