XLPE Insulated Cable APPLICATIONS:

 

Power cables for energy supply are installed in open air, in underground, indoors, in cable ducts, power stations, residental connections and street lighting as well as in subscriber networks, where mechanical damages are not be expected.

 

XLPE Insulated Cable CONSTRUCTION:


1. CONDUCTOR
– Bare copper conductor, Class 2 to IEC 60228
2. INSULATION
– XLPE Compound
3. FILLER
– PP filler
4. WRAPPING TAPE
In case of armored cables:

5. INNER SHEATH
– PVC Compound
6. ARMOR
– Galvanized Double Steel Tape.
7. OUTER SHEATH :
– PVC Compound
Sheath colour :
– Black
*Note: when required for a particular application, other colors are available.

 

USAGE CHARACTERISTICS

 

Permissible operating temperature at conductor +90°C
short circuit temperature ( duration max. 5 s) 250 °C
Minimum installation temperature should not be lower than 0°C
Max. conductor permissible tensile stress 50 N/mm²
