Mineral Insulated Cables Description
Mineral insulated cables (MI or MICC cable) are made of copper conductor inside a copper sheath, insulated by compressed powdered magnesium oxide that used for fire survival system.
MI fire survival cable system provides the ideal solution to many difficult and demanding wiring installations making permanent and dependable wiring cable systems for all low and medium voltage applications. Exceed all worldwide fire performance standards.
Mineral Insulated Cables Special Characteristics:
Will neither burn or support combustion. Comply with the requirements of IEC 60331 and BS 6387.
High operation temperature
Continuous operating temperature up to 250 °C, and for short periods up to approaching the melting point of copper 1083 °C.
Inherent flameproof barrier
With a non-flammable sheath the high compacted insulation will resist the transmission of vapors, gases or flames.
High mechanical strength
Really robust and can withstand a considerable amount of stresses such as, twisting, bending and flattening.
Fully annealed and extremely ductile and easily manipulated to follow existing wiring routes and irregular shapes.

PACKING AND SHIPPING

Cable is supplied in wooden reels, corrugated boxes and coils. Cable ends are sealed with BOPP self-adhesive tape and non-hygroscopic sealing caps to protect the cable ends from moisture. The required marking shall be printed with a weather-proof material on the outsides of drum according to customer's requirement.
